Great Deal! - This is not a management post; I actually live here. My complex is actually located at 12 Mile & Jefferson (same management company). I have lived here for 2 years and Ponchartrain Properties offers decent accommodations at a reasonable price. Fine for me I've lived here for 5 years, in the garden apartments. here's my assessment:
Cons:
- the buildings are old
- no built-in AC, my apt. has a window AC unit stuck into the wall. I don't even bother trying to use it.
- low water pressure

The landscaping is about the only great thing about Shore Club. The buildings are not kept up. Management has a serious problem. Air units are not strong enough to cool the apartments. Windows in buildings are horrible. Noise in the buildings. Noise from Fishones parking lot next door.

Nice Apartments These apartments aren't perfect, but if you're looking for a three-bedroom (and we were) they're the best choice in the area. It's a pretty layout and it's very safe, although there could be better outdoor lighting. Most of the residents when we moved in

Can you spell crap-hole St. Clair Shores is a nice quiet Bedroom community with mostly small single family dwellings in pretty quiet neighborhoods. The Chapoton Apartments (or the Compound as the residents refer to it as) is easily the black eye of St. Clair Shores.
