I have lived in Brookdale for over a year now, and I love it. When people are loud, you can definately hear it, but normally if you ask them to quiet down, it's not a problem. New balconies were just installed, and also new siding--which makes them look alot nicer. Some people don't clean up after their dogs, and that can get annoying sometimes. Usually maintenance takes a while to get to your apartment, unless it is an emergency. Then, they're there right away. I can't really complain too much. There is one very rude woman in the office, and if you can, talk with JIM!
