As of July 2009: Staff is knowledgeable, professional (and non-judgemental), helpful, friendly and are very interested in maintaining good customer service. Recent changes prior to my choosing to live here appear to have made improvements since some prior commentaries. The Brookdale Apt Complex is VERY CONVIENIENTLY located within walking distance for churches, schools, grocery shopping, dining, several health clinics and urgent care (several hospitals and many doctors within 15-25 min drive), hardware stores, auto repair, gas stations, drug stores, coffee shops, bakery, municipal services, post office, bike shops, indoor and outdoor exercise facilities, local small parks and entertainment and several shopping malls within easy driving distance. Grounds are well kept. Pool is clean, clubhouse is comfortable with internet Wi-Fi, workout equipment nice and available. Maintenance crew is attentive to things that require service with reasonable priority (move in maintenance was done VERY quickly including items that were more "preventative" in nature). Pricing is competitive for the location and amenities. Apartment management appears to be attentive to what is important balancing income with expenses and customer service with affordability and reasonability. Laundry machines are being replaced with newer ones. Windows, siding, decks, carpet, cabinetry, appliances have been improved. Current residents are encouraged to ask the staff members for service if needed - open and reasonable, calm communication, cooperation and setting realistic expectations is key to building any working relationship. We all want to improve our living conditions - working together with a positive "Win/Win" attitude will make a difference. As tenants, we are all responsible for our own satisfaction within the boundaries of what our "need vs. want" priorities and how much we are willing to pay and/or can afford to pay to get it recognizing the apartment business has limits, too, just like staying on your own personal budget to remain solvent. Keep up the GOOD WORK "Brookdale Team" and keep pressing on daily for continuous improvement and customer satisfaction! (Can't satisfy all immediately but keep "doing the right things" over time and the Customer Satisfaction needle will move - it's unfortunate that it is typically the negative exceptions (and perhaps legitimate experiences) that speak out more frequently than those who are reasonably satisfied - Unfortunately, it seems that its easier to be an "arm chair critic" in this society - there sure is enough of it on TV and Radio to train us by default - we become what we are exposed to - choose carefully!). Personally, I am thankful for the opportunity to have a nice place my kids can enjoy and that I can call home in my time of need for a short term lease! Personal circumstances aside, I would be glad to make it a longer term lease. http://www.brookdaleapartments.com/index.html

I felt the same way you do when I moved in there, until I found myself in a situation where I could have used some of the consideration you reference. Instead I was lied to, treated with disrespect and am being sued. I hope that one of the changes you mention was to the office staff. When I moved in the staff was amazing, when I left they were rude and condescending and had no patience for my "time of need". I wish you luck and respect your views, I hope you enjoy living there as much as I enjoyed my first year.

Clearly this is a fake review posted by either an employee, management or some old lady learning how to use the internet for the first time. "Reasonable" is repeated for so many times in this review - gives me the impression that it's addressed to the tenants and not the management as it should be. They weren't reasonable with me when I asked my reservation money back when they couldn't offer the apartment I reserved. Listen! This is a bad economy... everybody is eager to get the last dime from your pocket, so indeed "choose carefully!".
