I have been leasing a 1 bedroom apartment here since Nov. 2005. I am seeking to break my lease very soon. I have been having a problem with rolie polies,spiders and black ants just to name a few. If you like waking to a spider on your face, than this may be the place to you. There have been ants crawling up the wall right next to my stove as well as spiders on my dining table as well as in my clothing. When I called management about the bug problem, they gave me a can of bug spray instead of calling an exterminator. The hallways are not very well kept. The are in desperate need for paint as well as the stairwells and the parking lots are not well lit. The tenants leave there garbage aside the garbage bins instead of inside and will not hesitate to throw their food in the hallways. Management will show you a model that is very nice but the actual apartments are not in the best shape. I was shown 3 apartments after signing my lease because the one that I agreed to was not up to par. The carpet as well as the countertops were in horrible shape. When I asked for my money back, she finally showed me an apartment that had new carpeting in it. Any minor repairs were fixed but only after calling management 3 times. Whenever trying to call management or talk to the lady in the leasing office, you can forget it. Usually whatever question you need answered will never get answered. Another downfall is that you have to mail your rent to a PO BOX somewhere in Bloomfield Hills. You better believe if it hasn't reached them before the 5th, they won't hesitate to send you a letter threatening court or eviction. On the upside, I have never had a problem with noise outside of 1 recent incident in which police quickly solved. I can't wait to vacate these premises.
