I moved into the Southfield Apartments in March and I wish that I hadn't. First, the gated entry is a joke! They are supposed to have a guard at the gate in the night through the morning. I find myself coming in many times at 11pm and no one as at the guard booth!! Which as a young single professional woman that is surely not comforting when coming in late. Last night no one was at the gate at 3am and someone was able to make it through and bust one of my windows to my apartment! Second, the assigned and reserved parking ($25/month) is pretty much a joke. Everyone parks wherever they want to. Third, their appliances need to be updated. Dryers leave rust stains on your clothes. Lastly, their community dumpster on the back side of the premises is rarely emptied. Often times the trash overflows to the curb of the street.
