I lived with a roommate in The Lakes for one year from 2000 - 2001. While the apartments themselves were great--spacious, bright, washer/dryer included--the staff was unacceptably rude and inattentive. During my stay, the pool and jacuzzi remained under repair unavailable for use (a full year), while the rent continued to increase. The gates were often broken and trash was not picked-up often. After a year of poor service, we gladly moved-out and still have not received our security deposit. Look elsewhere.
