Years at this apartment: 2000 - 2001
The apartment was spacious but parking was often scarce as was laundry facilities. The laundry facilities door was often broken(locked). The parking lot flooded often in Spring. The dumpster was never emptied soon enough so you had piles all around and in the evening skunks and rats in the parking lot. Pipes made loud banging sounds in the walls and neighbors would blame each other for the noise. The security arm for the entry/exit was often out of order so you would have to enter the exit and vice-versa.
Packages were often lost by the management office if intercepted from UPS or USPS. One car had the trunk lock punched-in and broken into. Across Franklin Road is a low income apartment project with 24 hour constant security surveillance due to car break-ins. We were never late with rent, but most of the neighbors had late or eviction notices monthly posted in bright red 8x10 flyers on their doors. During the Summer, we were constantly battling big black ants that crept in through the patio doorjams. The hotwater often ran out too quickly for even 1 shower or shave. Keeping the apartment warm required keeping the thermostat as high as it would go, and even then, the living room and bedrooms were freezing if there was any wind. When we finally ended our lease, they kept our entire deposit claiming there were dirt spots on the stairway carpet and scratches on the kitchen linoleum(both of which were there from the beginning and microscopic at best.) The rent increase after a year of hell living there was astounding. We were glad to move outward and upward. x-2PE3sjUIIeetAHoKOk
