I've been at SouthPointe for almost 2 years. They've had their fair share of bad residents, and the construction quality isn't the best. As with the other reviewer, I've had problems with my electric and gas as well. For some reason the DTE tech's can't seem to read the meters properly, and it's an issue you have to stay on top of.
There has been a change in management recently, and I know that some of the issues are being addressed. However, I've found it just comes down to the quality of the residents living in the area more so than the quality of the management. Management has always been willing to work with me when problems occurred. They've even provided space heaters to residents on occasion when immediate repairs weren't possible (waiting on parts).
All in all, they're ok...just as with any other place, if you have good neighbors, I think you'll be happy with it. If you have bad neighbors, then you won't be happy with it.
