Don't Rent Here...
From: NoWayNotNowDate posted: 11/4/2007
Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2007
When I signed my lease (2005, and renewal in 2006), pet security deposit was for dogs only I think. There was no security deposit for cats, and there was no pet rent. I've already made comments on a few other postings, so don't feel the need to say the same things again.
It's a shame really, because this apartment complex had the potential to be phenomonal. It's in a great location, had it's own full size washer and dryers, and who doesn't want to be the first tenant in a new complex' Too bad that the negatives totally took away from the positives. And, it's too bad that the owners and leasing people didn't realize how important it is to tell the truth and appreciate those who were good tenants. The owners should put the money into fixing it the way it should have been done to begin with--but I wouldn't hold my breath, as the leasing people used that as a ploy to get me to sign a second lease (only to tell me after that the owners looked into it, and wouldn't be putting in any insulation). They did say that they would fix the floors (because of the horrible squeaking), and double the padding under the carpeting (because of how loud it was, you can really hear everything). But, it turned out that they didn't do anything. It's a real shame!
