I was shocked reading everyone's posts about the complex, as well. Yes, the walls are thin and you CAN hear conversations or TV's in the surrounding apartments, but there are NO Bugs! That is extremely important to me since I had a terrifying experience with a different apartment complex. People were right about trash appearing in hallways, etc., but every issue I have had, Lisa has addressed them and taken care of them very promptly! She has been extremely helpful. The man below me likeD to Blast his music as 6AM and wake up everyone. She first sent a letter and when that did nothing - she placed a call to the tenant and corrected the problem. I don't know about you, but I'd much rather hear a little noise than feel like I am living in a dirty campground. The last place I lived, I wouldn't even take off my socks because I felt too dirty in the unit. This is a wonderful place to live & I would recommend it to everyone! (Same with maintenance. I broke the door knob to my kitchen cupboard and they fixed it immediately. Prior to moving in, any requests I had were granted! I love it! Oh - and my utilities are excellent. I live on the 2nd floor and during the summer - using the AC, it was about $100 and today is Jan. 30 and I still have not turned the heat on once. My bill (heat and electric combined) has only been about $55 the past 5 months.

Excuse me, but I Do Not Lie nor do I have anything to lie about. I am simply saying that this apartment complex is getting bad reviews for thin walls making it possible to hear everything that goes on around you. No one is thrilled with that, but what do you HONESTLY expect living in an apartment. I moved in here in June and YES, my AC bill was about 100 for 3 months - that's June, July, & August. For the next 5 months...Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec, & Jan. it was 47-65 to be exact. I AGAIN have NOT Turned my heat yet. No need to lie. I must be getting all the heat from the thin walls of my neighbors because the temp in my unit is always between 65 and 70. MY entire point is that I moved into Village Green of Southgate West prior to living here and experienced a nightmare - getting bit on my entire body by bugs. They would not stop coming. I tried breaking my lease the 1st week I was there... had to move out for 2 weeks for fumigation and moved back in the last week of the 1st month when I then got bit by a wolf spider which i had an allergic reaction to...and again moved out and they sued me for non-payment of rent and put a judgement/collection on my credit when I have had perfect credit my entire life. So, excuse me for defending an apartment that is CLEAN & bug-free with it's biggest problem is being NOISY. Is this honest enough for you???

LOL, I have to laugh cause I moved out a while ago, and I see nothing has changed. Wouldn't hold your breath on no bugs, as there were tons of spiders and those bugs that roll into balls. I used to get spider bites all the time. I had lived in a first floor apartment, so had the pleasure of crickets also!! I find it hysterical that because you haven't seen any bugs yet, that makes the apartment great, and you think that should make it great for everyone else. Hahaha! "Yes the walls are thin," and you can hear people's conversations. Maybe you're someone who can ignore noises, or maybe no one lives above you. If you're on the second floor, wait till someone moves in over you, then you'll know what it's like. The noise level in that complex is not what most people expect. You don't move into an apartment and expect to hear your neighbor fart, burp, and hear their noises when they have sex. You expect regular apartment noises, not like someone is in the next room with the door open. And yes, the apartment below you is probably heating your apartment. Heat raises, and since there is no insulation there, it doesn't have far to go. Of course, there might just be one apartment building in that complex that is wonderful. Maybe that's the one you live in, maybe the same one the other person did who thought everything was wonderful there. LOL, please forgive the sarcasm, but your views strike me as very funny. But, I can laugh now because I live somewhere else where I get a full night's sleep. I almost wish that a tenant moves into South Pointe based on your recommendation, and they end up in the other apartments (you know, the ones that aren't so wonderful). Then I hope they come back to this site and tell you what they think about your opinions... LOL!! Well, thanks for the laughs, and hope things are still wonderful for you.
