If your idea of luxury is decaying buildings, mold, roof leaks and frequent theft then this is the place for you. I wouldn't recommend these apartments to anyone. The owners of this complex will not put forth money for repairs. Nearly every building has leaks either from bad roofs or mysterious plumbing problems. You'll also notice areas of artificial brick siding missing in several areas around the complex. The windows in these units are 20 years old and leak very bad. When you add poor insulation, outdated furnace/air conditioning systems, leaking windows and bad roofs you have a huge energy bill every month. Another problem here is security. There is a lack of lighting and the security gates are no longer functional. This adds up to big problems. Stop by the police station and ask them how many cars are broken into every weekend here. From a distance Village Green Southgate West might appear as a well kept family oriented community but it is far from it. Carefully research these apartments before making your choice.
