I have lived in apartments in the city of St. Joseph that were part of a house and some of them were a little crummy, but they were wonderful compared to this. I moved in in the summer of 2007 and had to have my air conditioner either fixed or replaced 4 times. Finally I got a "brand new" one put in. I had rain coming in through my window every rain storm. That was "fixed" about 6 times and there is still water leaking when the snow melts. The heating is terrible. You turn on the heat and it's either 50 degrees or 85. You cannot control the temperature. There is a lack of hot water. I find myself taking 2 minute showers due to this. Lately the water pressure has almost been nonexistent. Not including the time when I was taking a shower and it completely just turned off on me. The hallways are filthy and smell terrible. Yes, they allow you to have pets (dogs included, which is the only reason I'm renting from them). They provide bags and a trash can for waste and get upset and threaten to evict because the waste isn't being picked up. Well, maybe if the bags were restocked when they were gone, we would pick up the waste. Right now the trash can is so full, it will soon be overflowing. The maintenance men are wonderful. Very helpful and friendly. I just think there isn't much they can do to fix up an old building that is coming apart at the seams. Trying to get someone to fix it by calling the office is yet another story. I had to threaten to report them in order for someone to finally come and do something about the water leakage.

If you can find any other place to live, please do so and only come here if it is the last resort. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.
