Dull and Somewhat Depressing

The one bedroom apartment is small, and it doesn't help in the least that none of the walls are white. They are a tan color, and furniture (shelving unit) is dark brown. This leaves the apartment looking very dull and depressing, even during summer months. I hadn't dealt with depression until I moved here, however, I was also living on my own, which was often quite lonely. After moving out, I no longer need to be on anti-depressants.
I think the complex should really consider a wallpaper that is white, not the darker shade that it is.
