I lived here for one year back in 1988 to 1989. It was my first apartment. It has some kind of heat (electric) and was very very expensive, very small, but was a decent starter apartment. I didn't like the fact that management was discriminatory against me and my boyfriend moving in because we were not married but let us anyway. After a year we left.

It's too bad that a negative posting from so long ago could have a bad impact on this community's rating. I have been here since 1999 and the units are all gas heated now. There is a diverse residnet base of all ethnicities and everyone gets along. I have found office and maintenance staff to be friendly, helpful and professional at all times. I hope this review doesn't discourage anyone from living at Durham Apts. Times have changed and so has Durham pts.!
