Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2005

I lived at Shoal Creek Apartments from 01/2004 - 01/2005 and I was at the front of the complex. My unit was one of the two bed room uppers with great high walls and two baths. The only complaint I had was the spiders that usually come out in Spring. Oh one other thing, I moved because the rent went up to 914.00. It started out at 830.00 with the move in special then it went up. So, I moved to buy a house. I believed that that was better than paying someone eles mortgage. But if I had to do it all over again, I would have stayed. I currently live in a nice Detroit home in which my mortgage, high utilities, water bill, property tax, property insurance, upkeep, landscaping, updates, etc. all came up to well over 1100.00 per month. Infact it was 1350. Not to mention, the school system. Sterling Heights have the best Blue Ribbon Schools. I have my property up for sale and I must move to clear out so I am moving back to Shoal Creek.

When I was there in that one year, I trully loved it. It was spacious. Management was fast on any service request. The grounds are trully wonderful. Little things like updates are important. Just stand and look at the surroundings and compare with the other apartments and you can see the difference. It is quiet and peaceful. Now they have a new excercise room. Great! The location is excellent and near Oakland mall. Also, the balconies are private. Some other balconies are too public where if you are sitting on the porch, you have no privacy. One last thing. Some apartments make you pay for the car port covering for about 15 to 20 dollars per month: not at Shoal Creek. Plus, there is plenty of parking for your guests.
There is a security employee that drives around all night from 7:00pm to 6:00am
I am looking forward to coming back here. I was approved for The Heights apartments in Madison Heights and Kings Arms in Sterling Hieghts. The heights was too expensive. 995.00 for a two bedroom. Kings Arms seem to have plenty of space for a three bedroom but it needed updating very, very much. I made the right choice in coming back to Shoal Creek. If you are looking for quality in an apartment with reasonable rent cost, Shoal Creek is for you. Just check them out for yourself.
