DON'T DO IT!!! MISREPRESENTATION!!

I was trying to transfer from one Home Properties community to Charter Square (also Home Properties Mgmt). I was told by their leasing manager that they know of my previous experiance, etc at my current location and it would not be a problem for me to transfer without penalty or breaking my current lease. The apartments were ok, and the community center was a real treat. I was real excited to get out of the disaster I was in at the other place. I put down a new security deposit the next day and was told there would be no issues even with my shaky rental history because they were aware of my reasoning, etc. The next day they called (after I gave my notice to my current location) and told me there was no way they would lease to me at Charter Square. Even though my current manager said she would rent to me again, etc. I just don't want this to happen to anyone else and please hear my advice....Any Home Properties community misrepresnts its supposed Pledge to its customers. They will let criminals live there as long as they pay there rent. All they care about is the almighty dollar. I am in a real bind now and I would hate to see this happen to someone else.
