I've been living in one of the 3 bedroom townhouses at Charter Square since 7/06 and I've been really happy with everything. I'm not sure how the regular apartments are, but the townhouses are really great. The noise level is low and can barely hear my neighbors at all. Although the appliances and fixtures arent of the highest quality, they serve their purpose.

Maintenance is something that I was really surprised with. Our dishwasher broke and within 20 minutes of calling someone was over to look at it. He couldnt fix it himself, so about 30 minutes later someone else came by with a brand new dishwasher and installed it. Additionally, our heat went out around 11pm on a Friday during the winter and I made a phone call to the 24-hour hotline. I wasnt expecting anyone to come over that night, but within 25 minutes there was someone at my townhouse fixing it.

I dont hear much noise from I-75 because I'm far away from it, but I can imagine it would be loud. The traffic from Big Beaver is loud at times, but you get used to it. There is plenty of parking and I have never had any problems with parking and there is always a spot near my place. I've never heard of or seen anyone with problems of car break ins.

One thing to consider, this complex is mostly family orientated. If you're a college student (like me) and want a more youthful place to live, dont stay here. Mostly families and young kids running around. I would stay here again but I want to be a little closer to a more youthful area (i.e. Royal Oak)
