All things considered, it's okay place

I see 3-4 major classes of complaints here,
1. Safety -- It is true there was a murder, but that was some personal conflict, I don't know how that reflects badly on apt. Any crazy can murder someone anywhere.. No they don't post armed guards in every apt..
2. Car Break-ins -- This is true and it did happen, Short of making gated community what can be done abt it'' They had Troy police doing nightly rounds right after the break-ins.
3. You can smell what's cooking downstaires.. That is correct and sometimes I have woken up with really nasty smell of burnt becon but windows are wider and it's just once in a while for me.. if you get bad cook downstaires.. yes I can see how that would suck!
4. People are complaining abt the maintenance..This is absolutely crazy, I found maintenance guyz helpful and quick to respond always.
5. Management staff is non-responsive, This is common complaint across the board with *ALL* apartments!
Having said that.. let me say why I am staying here for 3 yrs and am signing new lease for bigger apt.
1. Safe place
2. Decent and honest management. -- Never had issues when they said they will do something and they didn't.. If they say.. they do.. I like that..
3. Family oriented place
4. Location .. location .. location.. Location can't be BEAT!
5. No issue with parking -- EVER..
6. Okay snow removal, AC fixing, decent utility bills.
7. All things considered.. affordable rates..
8. No issues with bad tenants , little higher rates keep out the riff-raff I believe..
9. Okay place overall..
More importantly.. I CAN'T BELIEVE EAGLES' LANDING HAS BETTER rating.. That place is a freaking ghetto.. I have seen that..
Yes this apts are not heaven but all things considered.. pretty cool place to live..
and more importantly.. they will be flexible with lease and will show you exact apt. before you choose.. so no underhanded dealings at least..
