Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2005

Hi. I moved into this apartment complex in the summer of 2004. I needed to find an apartment fast and Eagle's Landing was the only complex that would allow dogs and the grass was maintained. This is the only good part of this place. There are many bad and awful aspects. The clubhouse stank of must, the office staff is negligent and absolutely deceiving. If you like a quiet community, this is not the place. I suspected that people were selling drugs in the building I was living in; traffice was non-stop and the front door wouldn't stop slamming shut. They say that you have a 'secured 'buzzed' entrance door.' THat is complete bull-*&^&! The door never worked and was always broken. Their was a few times when both doors wouldn't open which was a huge fire hazard. The apartments are right next to I-75 and you hear traffic everyday. The pool, when open, is always dirty and full of leaves and debris. The sauna stank of feet and mold. One day I even walked in on some kids smoking pot. They say they have a business center; however, the computer is pre-historic and never worked. The complex tries to instill a sense of security with the "entry gates". They rarely worked and when they did the gates were always ran into. I told the management that if they are to have gates they need to do it right otherwise take them out!! The property always had garbage somewhere and quite literally looked like a ghetto. When the people above me moved out I suddenly started to see cochroaches about my apartment. I've never had raoches and always keep my living areas clean. I called the office and nothing happened, no exterminator, nothing. This was the last straw. I was grossed out of my mind and had to get out. It took me two weeks and I was outta there. One last point; the rent is extremely high. I was paying 850/month when I left. I recommend nobody ever stay at Eagle's Landing of Troy. The sign in the entrance says "luxury living" it isn't, it's " gutter trash living!"

How much do you think an average apartment is in Oakland County? I think the pricing is very fair for the location.

Seems to be true everything I've read so far. As to Ryan01 maybe you should look around more, I have found 2 bed rooms for about 200 dollars less then I am paying.
