The complex only charges $40 dollars for six months for heat. Sounds good, but what they are not telling you is that the heat is shut of the first of May. So all the cool nights that month you get to freeze. In the fall when it gets in the 60 and 50 degree range the boiler is cranked so high the apt. is at 85 with the heat off. Not to mention you will probably loss heat at least once during the winter and the maintenance people are cluelees at fixing it. You'll freeze for 2 days before they will call out a professional to fix it.

I think I understand now. That is why my heat didn't work during those cold nights in September, because they turn it off until October when we start paying $40 per month (which was not in the original contract).
