Terrific value, but...

...weigh your options CAREFULLY before signing the lease. I love living here for the most part--a lot of the other tenants are decent, hard-working people who respect their neighbors. The local schools are EXCELLENT and shopping centers are plentiful. I was thrilled to find a three-bedroom for me and my two children for less than $800 (special offer), which is unheard of in Oakland County! The rooms/closets are very spacious and the kitchen is large enough to make an extra bedroom. Maintenence is OK and the staff is friendly; some things have malfunctioned but were repaired by day's end.
The downside: I'm beginning to suspect that RV is a Section 8 provider. There are tenants (primarily "gangsta-wannabe" teenagers) here who are well on their way to prison (or have recently been paroled). I've been here only a few months and have already been cussed out/slurred by some of them because I asked them to quiet down after dark. Several good tenants around me have moved out as a result of these stupid kids. It would be a quiet community if they would just leave. Maybe more neighbors need to get together to control the situation--the management can do only so much.
