OK... but not the "luxury apartments" they advertise

This apartment community is in a great area, it is convenient to I75 and entertainment, but their list of amenities is highly overrated by the management or whom ever wrote the list. These are not the "luxury apartments" that all the signs all over will lead you to think. There is a pool ( ice cold most of the year) a fitness center that's 24 hrs (the fitness center is a joke) there is an elevator to take you right to your floor (it never works for more that a week or two at a time, and never will if the repair guy in the burgundy pickup has any say so), there is "free heat" yup it is free, but the complex decides when you get to use it. Its not on now but its 30 degrees outside. The apartment offers 24 hr maintenance and the guy that fixes things is actually pretty fast at responding, however, he often seems overworked. They lowered rent due to the poor economy around here, so it is attracting a younger crowd of tenants. The older people move out and the younger ones move in (there is a moving truck here almost daily). If you want a nice apartment, Troy Place is an OK recommendation. Its not the most upscale, prestigious, fantastic, wildest dreams come true apartment community they advertise, but it is just a plain old standard apartment that that you can get anywhere. The main selling point is location, the staff is also a plus. The office staff is as good as you can get from any apartment complex. Julie is awesome.
