If you like useless management, you'll be at home here

I lived at Manor House for 1 year, and I will never go back.
Ever.
Nor would I ever recommend it to anyone - quite the contrary I tell people who ask me about it to stay far away.
Why' Let me tell you...
First off, the walls are *paper* thin.
If your TV or radio is just above normal listening level, you may get a visit from your neighbors.
In my particular section, the living room windows were single-pane glass and glued shut.
This means you couldn't open it during the summer (but you *could* leave your door open for a cross-breeze).
During the winter heat would dissapate through it as if there were no glass in it at all.
The apartments are radiator-heat (which they didn't bother to turn on until well towards the end of September).
The main water heater in my building busted at least twice during the winter, leaving me with a below-0 apartment.
Speaking of heat, our laundry room was not heated during the winter and so was unusable.
At one point during the spring the trash pickup was delayed about 3 weeks and so the dumpsters, right next to the mailboxes, piled up and over.
When management was notified various times of these, and many many other issues, they were extremely slow to accomodate.
Some issues went completely unresolved.
I don't know if things have changed, but if Consolodated Mgmt is still in charge, I really doubt it.
Live here at your own risk!
