Giant roaches and ghetto trash lifestyle

Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2002
I lived at Warren Manor apartments from July 19, 2002 thru July 30, 2002. The apartment was completely different from the sample they had showed me. They make the apartment buildings in the front look nice to attract people but then end up sticking you in the back where most of the buildings seem to be neglected & where crimes happen. As far as parking, there's plenty of that available since no one at this place has a car and if they do, it's probably stolen or on it's way to getting repo'd.
I knew from the sad run-down appearance of the front entrance to my apartment that I would have pest problems. The outside entrance doors didn't even have locks when I was there! Sure enough, three days later, I saw four baby roaches in the bathroom. I called the rental office manager and informed her about the poor caulking job and the roaches and she didn't say anything about the caulking but told me that she would put me on the waiting list for an exterminator. She also told me I would have to wait a month before an exterminator can come by. There has to be a lot of people with roach problems if the waiting list is that long! I moved here from a southwest suburb of Detroit (Southgate) and have never in my life lived with roaches. That following Sunday I spotted another baby roach in the kitchen. Then, on July 31, at 7:04 A.M., I awoke to find a gigantic cockroach, 1" long, half an inch wide crawling on the bathroom floor! I crushed it with a shoe, put it in a zip loc bag, and gave it to the office manager at the rental office. I wanted to prove that I was not playing around. Later on that evening I sprayed the house with Raid. Low and behold, the gigantic roaches started coming out of the woodwork. I did not sleep in my apartment that night. I packed my bags and spent the night at my cousin's house. The next day, maintenance sent out an exterminator. But, everyone knows if the people around your apartment have roaches, then you have them too. Warren Manor offered to give me back my security deposit but said I would not be getting back the money I payed for the month of August even though I was only there for 2 weeks because I couldn't tolerate the living conditions and the neighborhood. As quick as my neighbor moved in next door, she moved out a week later because SHE SAID SHE FOUND MICE IN HER APARTMENT and most likely the roaches went to her apartment too.
If you love mice, giant roaches, and a dirty run down filthy ghetto trash housing project with disillusioned wanna be the next rap star 50 cent copycats, then this is the place for you. If you like to constantly worry that someone will break in your window while sleeping or if you like seeing people getting stabbed, then this is also the place for you. If you're an educated, sophisticated mature person with a legitimate job, then DON'T BOTHER with Warren Manor. THIS PLACE WAS DEFINITELY A WASTE OF MY MONEY!!!!!!
