You get what you pay for. The rent isn't too high. However....think about the people that you get when rent is cheap. The police were at my building at LEAST once a month for domestic disturbances involving my neighbors. Not great when you have small children. The parking IS really awful. If you get home after dark, figure that you will park far from your building. Maintenance response time was sketchy. Sometimes great, sometimes extremely slow. Sound-proofing in my building is minimal. The glasses in my cabinets shake when the neighbors upstairs walk around.
It was a decent place to live but one year was plenty.
