No, this isnt a perfect place to live. There were definately issues with maintenance.
Had the hot water go out several times, once for an entire day. Burnt out light bulbs in the hallways took at least a week to be changed. Dumpsters always full.
Also had my car vandalized (broken window) but this happened all over the neighborhood, not just at the apartments. Got tired of hearing church bells in the morning. As for the crime and drugs, I never saw any while I was there. I lived in apartment 2 (at the south end of Airport rd) maybe it makes a difference where you live' I worked 2nd shift so I got home at 2 in the morning, and never had any problems.
My neighbors were all relatively quite for the most part (I lived on the top floor). This was one of the quietest places I have ever lived.
The apt itself was in good shape when I moved in, a bit dirty, but not horrible. Just some excess dead bugs and dirt on the window sills. Had new paint and carpet though.
Everytime I went to the office, they seemed to be caring and knowledgable, although they did seem to have a high employee turnaround.
I had a job transfer while living there so broke my lease 6 months early. Had no hassle at all. Had to pay a one month rent penalty, plus $50.
Overall, I would recommend this place, the issue with the hot water being the main reservation. For the money I saved though, one cold shower in one and a half years is a bargain. Perhaps mgmt should use the money they spend on fertilizing the grass and put it towards apartment maintenance.
