I lived here for about 2 and a half years in the back of the complex (building #3) I generally didn't have any big problems. The turnover rate at this complex is pretty high, and after 2 prevous neighbors on the ground floor sharing a wall with me, I ended up with rowdy young neighbors, who eventually ended up on the news for a parking lot brawl. They settled down after complaints from myself and their upstairs neighbor and were threatened with eviction. If you have the choice choose a ground floor apartment. Buildings are 3 apartments high by 2 apartments deep. That way you only have over head and next door disturbances, and because you don't share a wall with your across the hall neighbors it should be less frequent, but if it is you should call the front office as soon as the disturbance happens. They have a system based on the number of complaints that are documented before a tenant can be evicted. I did notice that the 2 bedroom apartments buildings tended to be a bit quieter than the 1 bedroom buildings. Laundry facilities could have been closer if you are living in a unit on one of the ends of the buildings, and I found my laundry had been thrown in a trash can on one occasion even though I make it a point to check my laundry frequently to free up machines for other tenants use. Although I was very angry at the moment I quickly took it with a grain of salt, due to the limited number of washers and dryers per building. I think there were 4 washers and 4 dryers to a 36 apartment building. The grounds are kept up, and children aren't running rampant, at least in the area I was in. The pool does get crowded during the summer months, but there are ample chairs and tables in good condition. A great place to keep the kiddies busy, but if you are seeking a little peace and a couple of laps go very very early and dont count on lingering or you can forget it. Parking is more than adequate, but prepare to be snowed under in the winter months as there are no carports, and plows may block you in. In your move be sure to bring along a shovel, and have an ice scraper on hand. Use general caution when securing your windows, doors, car doors, car alarms, as my boyfriend did find his car radio stolen during an extended visit. Use caution upon move in and exit. Attend the exit inspection they schedule for you....Take pictures during your initial inspection of apartment, document in detail all that you find, even the littlest imperfections, and take photos upon move in and exit...and be present when a leasing agent does the final inspection when you move out....After taking the pains to throughly clean the apartment top to bottom, including the stove, oven, Fridge, and bathroom I was spared the charge of replacing a new counter top because I was at the final inspection. It had a few fine scratches, but I don't cook, I eat out the majority of the time....I pleaded my case to the agent, and was spared and got my deposit back. Overall a decent place to live if you are a single or have a one child family.
