I moved in about 3 months ago and have had pretty pleasent experience so far when i first moved in my apartment had some issues but i contacted the front office and on a holiday weekend they came by and fixed everything that was wrong. This morning i woke up to no hot water but i called the office i left for work 3 hours later i came back for lunch and it was fixed. so all in all i am having a pleasent experience i always get a good parking spot and some of my neighbors even helped me move in. The only complain i really have is that my upstair neighbors are loud and stomp around but theese are old buildings and it is only once in a while. Beside that I am fairly happy, the rent is reasonable and gas and water are included.

I had lived there for about 2 years no problem couple months back my apartment got broken into. Whoever broke in had come up through the balcony and broke my sliding glass door. I called the complex to get it fixed and they never fixed it. Two months went by and still wasnt fixed I even contacted the corportation and they never returned my phone call. Needless to say I ended up moving out. Also they did nothing about the breakins and they had a suspect and every body in my half had also got broken into and nothing was done. There were also cars getting broken into weekly. I highly do not recommend this place it is very unsafe.

I have lived at Rivers Edge for 1 year. This complex at best is horrific. The complex manager Norma has a nasty disposition. The corporation manager Dan doesn't bother to return calls. I have had numerous problems with getting maintenance orders done. From my toilet and bathroom sinking leaking, closet doors falling off the hinges, air conditioning going out, and water seeping through the ceiling. When the water leaked through the ceiling in the bathroom maintenance had to replace some of the wiring. When they were finished, I had to turn the bathroom light on to turn the lights in the bedroom on. When I called back about the problem they said it would take 5-7 days for them to come out for a new work order. I explained they just left couldn't they just come back and fix it. They said no because it was not and Emergency. Imagine that faulty wiring.....not an EMERGENCY!! If you choose this complex GOOD LUCK!!!!

I have lived at Rivers Edge for 3-1/2 years, and my lease is up at the end of October 2009. The first year or so was not so bad, but just in the last year or so it has gone bad!! I agree with the complex manager Norma, she didnt deal with resident issues very politely. Last year, my air conditioner went out and it took them 3mths to fix it as every time I called to check on it, they kept telling me that a work order was never written up. I had called the corporate manager Dan to discuss this problem, and he never returned my calls. Therefore, I was stuck paying a $250 electric bill. Just recently, I went to pull up my blinds and the blinds came completely out of the wall and broke. Its been a week since I filed a work order, which the front desk completed the work order as I waited, and I still don't have new blinds up. I called yesterday to check the status, and again, somehow the work order got lost or misplaced. I live in Bldg 12, and that is a location where the maintenance likes to put all the trash (couches, tv stands, stoves, etc)...the place looks trashy...oh and the HUGE dumpster that they leave there that is always completely full and takes up residency parking and the trash that attracts all varieties of wilderness animals and stray cats. The carpeting in the apartments needs alot to be desired...when I moved in I had asked for new carpeting and was informed that the carpeting should last up to 10yrs and if I wanted new carpeting then my rent would go up $40/mth. The carpeting in my apartment is tearing at the seams, in certain spots in the apartment you will walk over holes and feel the wood underneath...so be prepared to not receive your security deposit back when you leave because they will take that and send you an additional invoice to cover for the carpet to be replaced after you move out. All in all, I would not recommend Rivers Edge to be your choice of apartment living.
