Westchester Towers is one of the most unlivalbe places I have ever had the chance of encountering.

In 2003 we were denied heat, were without hot water several times. And on occassion we were also without any water what so ever. The crime is high and the office staff is rude & inconsiderate.

They take you for uneducated and tell you it's normal not to have hot water, they posts notices on your door when rent isn't even late yet so that the whole building can see you didn't pay on the first instead you are waiting until the 5th when rent still isn't late.

This is the worst place I've ever lived and would honestly rather live in my car.

I thought of more, since I posted this. I had major leaks in my bathroom, which resulted in my ceiling falling apart, and living with a wet mouldy ceiling for MONTHS until I threatened non-payment of rent via certified mail LEGALLY. THEN they just tried to "patch" it I had to DEMAND they cut out the area that was wet and replace the entire piece. My daughter and myself, both have mold allergies and they were RAGING for months becuase of this. Right as I was moving out I found a roach, disgusting... I've NEVER lived anywhere with roaches. The elevators were very unsaintary, and often contained human waste on them, abusive men also are permitted to continue living in the apartment tower. I was scared after I had to call 911 and the guy abusing is girlfriend or wife, got carted to jail while she laid in a bloody mess, UNCONSCIOUS, and in an ambulance. Still they didn't evict them for this OBVIOUS breach of the lease. The only nice thing was my neighbor who lived across from me, sweet older lady. There was also other older people in the building all nice but very obviously desitute and likely not able to really think for themselves let alone, live alone. Oh, and the transvestite that stood outside all the time, he was actually fine but what a sight to see.
