I lived at Silverbrooke about 8 months ago. I knew it was going to be expensive from the start, so if people complain about the cost its their own faults. I did move out because of a few different reasons. The furnace is not suitable for the size of the apartments, i have a 3 bedroom 2 1/2 bath with 2 car garage, and my heat bills in the winter were over 200 a month. One warm winter day the snow melted and leaked through my sliding glass door wall and soaked the carpet. It took maintenance about 5 minute to come over and look at it and another 3 months to fix the problem. I ended up putting my rent in an escrow account just to get the to fix the mold stained carpet. The first time they came to fix was after one month when i didnt pay rent and i told them i wouldnt untill they fixed the mold carpet. So when i got home i pulled up the corner of the room and it was still moldy. It looked as if all they did was vacume the living room. So it took another 2 months from the to get a cleaning crew in there with a special vacum and by that time i had told them i was moving out and didnt want to deal with it anymore. They told me the gutters were the problem not the glass door...very shaddy. The managers just ignore you most them time when you come to them with a issue. If you drive around the complex you can see all the maintenace problems, most of the units roofs are in very poor condition. I never had any problems with bugs or noise from neighbors. Something positive...i did get my entire security deposit back after moving out even though they said i never gave them a 30 day notice, in which i told them 3 times i was moving out. I even recieved a half hearted appology letter from the complex owner after leaving several voicemails from him. Never recieved a callback though. They were probably sick of dealing with my lawyer.

Right on the money. Etkin won't even replace my closet door that is completely warn out. Not to mention that my front porch floods and water comes in, bugs, mold, racoons, substandard locks, faulty garage door opener, poor landscaping/snow plow crew, inadequate exterior lighting, downright dangerous living conditions all around, management DOES NOT CARE!!! I have had too many problems to mention that still are not dealt with. Unsafe and unhealthy-bottom line. Silverbrooke is the good turned ghetto for 2009.

For those of you who think that the manager and crew are ignoring your concerns, are CRAZY!. It is the managements fault not the staff. And if you don't like it get the hell out.

The manager (overworked) doesn't really care and the staff is either not propery trained or just mechanically inept. The place is a mess. Mold is just covered with primer and painted over. This place has more MOLD in it than the eye can see. Is your health worth the cost of having an attached garage? NO....... The place is run by drunks....
