Overall, River Bend is a huge and older apratment complex with maintenance barely keeping up. Lawn care is minimal, trash can is inadequate for the number of tenants, and street maintenance in the parking lots is non-existent. Street trash pick up is minimal.

Apartments are basic and small, yet well insulated from other apratment noise. Cigarette smoke is a problem to non-smokers. Neighbor's smoke will it into one's apartment through poorly sealed doors, especially those upstairs as smoke rises (there is no air circulation in foyers). Ask for a non-smoking building (albeit those don't exist in MI yet, or so it seems).

Laundry facilities are horrible, with very small washers (@ $1.25 per 30 minute wash cycle!!!!). Several buildings have had basement work still unfinished with open holes in the wall and ceiling.

Car ports leak ($15/mo extra!). Several exterior repairs have yet to be repaired! A light fixture, over an entry door is hanging and is kept in place only by the bulb. I believe they're waiting for a tradegy to occur, when it falls and hurts someone, instead of repairing it immediately. This was reported TWICE to the management office each month over the last three months, and it has yet to be repaired!
