I have lived here for 3 years, in which the first year and a half I think we had the office staff change hands 3 times. The staff we have now is aweful. They don't return phone calls, we get the excuse that it wasn't on the machine... They are rude when you do talk to them about issues. We have had a leak in our livingroom that has had to be fixed 6 times, and still has to be fixed again after the roof thaws out!! Come On!!! Parking sucks, you get a sticker and assigned car port when you sign your lease, but other then that, parking is not inforced at all. We have people park in our assigned carport almost weekly!!! Good thing it's winter out and we can't even use it. Why assign something if you aren't going to inforce it'' I have never lived somewhere that is as dis-organized as it is here.
The beach is nice, a little small but fun. But then again that is supposed to be just for residents and their guests but on a nice weekend it seems like the whole town is there... Don't expect to have anywhere to park either because all the people who shouldn't be at the beach house are parking in the parking lot.
The office is always changing policies and not inforcing them. We had to get rid of grills because it was a new insurance law, but yet people still have them and use them. I saw a maintance guy using his two weeks after we were told to get rid of them.. Nice huh!!
I know that we get a good deal on our apartment, but I would have gladly paid a little more each month to have a office staff capable of doing their jobs and not just saying "we'll TRY to take care of it" or " what do you want me to do about it'" I don't know, How about do your freaking job!!

I've only lived here about a year, but I never got a sticker for parking so I don't know what this person is talking about. This person could have left notes on cars that parked in their carport, but I'm not sure the person would have been able to read it... what with trying to figure out what 'inforced' meant.

I lived there up until last year - and I went through a lot of the same things you've just described. Its true about the beach house - the entire town is there on nice days. I didn't have much problem with maintenance - although they may just have a different maintenance guy. It's interesting to hear there still going through so many staff.

In response to the last post who is a disgruntled resident, we have done our best to take care of your parking situation, by assigning you a new carport, and offering to have our maintenance staff come to your aide after hours to tag any vehicle parked in your carport.
1. The staff here stopped returning her calls after this particular resident would call up on the answering service and use obscene language, screaming & acting uncalled for because some one parked in her spot. We do not have to tolerate any abusive behavior from residents.
2. As for the roof issue we have replaced the roof through out the community and her problem is isolated, however the roofing company will not climb back up on the roof until the weather permits...as it is very unsafe for them & obviously their policy that we at Harbor Cove do not have control over.
3.The grills- I understand that this can be aggravating to residents who have recently bought grills, but is out of our hands as our Insurance & manangement company have made these decisions...we do however offer grills at our beach house area for our residents to use.
*We have sent notices requiring residents to remove their grills, ofcourse not every one will listen, that would be in a perfect world; We are however coming up with new plans to enforce the new grill policy.
4. The beach---ask any resident that has been here for a couple of years and they will say that people would use the beach that do not live at Harbor Cove...BUT as for the new staff that has been her for over a year we have made it our priority last summer to make sure this does not occur any more, we have changed & audited the key sysytem, have employees there through out business hours and after hours to make sure only residents are enjoying our private beach.
Many have thanked us for the changes made at the beach this year.
**If this community has been so horrible for you why do you continue to renew your lease?
We do our best at Harbor Cove to make our Resident's happy, it's just a shame this resident chose to bash us online & over the answering machine instead of coming into speak with us in a proper manner, so that we could address her situation right away.
No one is perfect, but we try our best to make this a great place to live!

its a shame that the office staff is always calling the reswident disgruntled when something is said that is negative...they are making the complex and staff look bad..we were looking move her but considering how the staff handles these post i think we will look elsewhere, for a place that treats there resident respectfully and not show the lack of maturity
