This place is horrible

We lived there for ONE year.. and it was one year wasted out of my life. The office staff was horrible. They were never there.. the one lady hung UP on me when I asked simple questions as in if trick or treating is allowed in the complex. The rent was excessive, and the late fees were even worse. Moving in was a pain, moving out was even worse. Be prepared to have a legal team handy by living there. The grounds were beautiful if you didn'd mind dodging dog piles. As a responsible pet owner, I found my dog actually getting ill from the amounts of uncleaned up dog excrement. It was horrible. The residents didn't seem to care nor did the staff. I wouldn't live there if someone paid me to live there. Try turning Left on Michigan Ave at 7:30 in the morning on a weekday... There was NOTHING good about this place. Everything was just miserable. The parking was ridiculous. We had a carport and frequently had to have cars towed out of our space. The walls were paper thin. We could hear everything our downstairs neighbors were doing. There certainly is a facade of safety... but its a farce. I did not feel safe. The buildings were falling apart and we frequently had issues with our "private entrance" flooding which was never fixed by the maintance staff.
There are much nicer places around which are a better bang for your buck. We actually moved out to rent a house.. and we found a 3 bedroom house for much less than the cost of renting from Arbor Glen.. let alone the cost of dealing with them.
I would say if you like dealing with difficult conditions, enjoy shoddy apartments and shady staff, take pleasure from overpaying, and have a team of lawyers - rent from Arbor Glen. Otherwise.. RUN AWAY.
