What looks good from the outside isn't always good on the inside...

I have lived in Arbor Knoll 2 years now. I must say the first year wasn't as bad as this last year has been. Yes the apartments are big and the private entry is nice. But they way the community is maintained, and the way the staff respond to things is horrible. The manager of the community Carrie doesn't do the things she should as the property manager. Not to mention how messed up it is to pay for water in an apartment. In my particular building, people don't pick up behind their dogs, so there is dog s*** all in the grass. The parking lots are horrible, they don't salt them or plow them until the snow and ice have packed together to make one big skating rink. I cannot wait to move out of here...GOOD BYE ARBOR KNOLL.

If you think that paying for water is bad then dont ever plan on buying a house because you will have to pay all the utilities there too. There are very few apartments out there that DO pay your water for you and from my expierence those are the ones that are ------. As far as the snow, maybe you should consider moving out of MI.

Well FYI I have lived in several apartments and Arbor Knoll is the ONLY one that I have had to pay the water in. As for the snow...I don't have a problem with the snow, its when you pay rent and they don't shovel the sidewalks or plow the parking lot for days. As I said I have lived in several MICHIGAN apartment communities and this is by far the WORST. Maybe you should consider doing some research on apartments in Michigan that you actually have to pay for water in before responding. Speak on what you KNOW and not what you THINK.

There are a lot of properties in the area where you do not have to pay for water. It is also the property managers job to maintain the property snow removal is a safety issue. I have a feeling that money is the issue the property dos not wont to spend money on salt. They have a blatant disregard for resident safety
