Reading the comments from other people makes me realize I'm not alone. This place is horrible!

Several examples.

1. I had a leak in my ceiling kitchen, because the dishwasher upstairs had broken and was leaking through the ceiling. It took 2 MONTHS to get it fixed, and only after I threatened to get a lawyer and withhold rent did they really fix it correctly. It leaked continuously onto my floor and carpet and was a NIGHTMARE. And the maintenance staff didn't know how to fix the ceiling correctly, so it took two tries to take take care of (and still looks bad).

2. I went away on vacation over Christmas, and when I returned, my car was not in the parking lot. I totally panicked, thinking it was stolen. But it turns out that the management towed it to another location in the complex because they were repaving the parking lot where I usually park. They NEVER informed tenants of their plans to do work, so I never had a chance to move my car on my own.

3. Someone threw up in the hallway of my apartment, and I had to call for four consecutive days before someone came to clean it up.

4. The other day when I arrived home from work, my personal property on my balcony had been removed and left on the ground because painters came to paint my balcony and left the items on the ground afterward. I had never been informed of their plans to paint my balcony. I called management and they were TOTALLY clueless that my building was even being painted at that time. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE'''''

5. The neighboors are a mixed bag. Some are very friendly. Others are very rude and inconsiderate of others, playing music extremely loud, letting their animals out into the hallways (where they inevitably take a dump, which isn't always cleaned up), and smoke indoors, in the shared hallways. And don't bother filing a complaint with the management as they have no desire to attend to the actions of their tenants. Oh, and expect to hear domestic disputes.

6. The washing and drying machines don't work. The washer put little tiny holes into my clothes and got to the point where there'd still be detergent on my clothes after the washing cycle. And the dryers don't dry. And management is amazingly not responsible for the washers and dryers, so good luck getting them fixed in a timely manner. I take my laundry elsewhere.

I could go on and on. the point is this. I moved here because the rent was one of the cheapest I could find ($575) at the time. It is NOT worth it. The staff seems friendly at first, but they are complete idiots. If you are a student who likes to party or you don't care about the upkeep of your environs or your safety (only one flimsy lock on the door), you might not mind living here. But i DO NOT suggest it.
