Yes, you can find a cheap apartment here. But my parents always said you get what you pay for. In this case they were correct. I hate living here. The staff are all very rude and don't care about seeing to your needs. One of the apartment managers is a total jerk. He always seems to be drunk or something because having a conversation with him is very hard, which is why is I have an issue I never go to him beause it won't get solved. There are alot of children and hoodlums in this complex I hate coming home and the damn -------- are in front of my building drinking, playing with dogs(that are supposed to not be allowed)and playing their loud music. I would love the possiblilty to take a nap in the afternoon but I can't because I live in the hood!
The environment is not my ideal place to stay for a person who likes peace and quiet.I try to complain about the noise but they tell me to call the police because they can't controll people. When I come home I always have to step over several people before I can to my doorway because there alot of immigrants from other countries. I think this is the best place for people who are new to this country because you can find a cheap place to stay; but others have to deal with their lack of understanding or lack of courtisy.
I don't feel safe because their are gun shots, fights, men drinking that just stand in the parking lot for no reason at all. The hallways do smell, I think we are supposed to have them cleaned weekly but I guess the lazy ass maintenance people must do that.
The maintenace is a big issue for me. When I moved in my carpet was still wet from the poor job they did of cleaning my carpet. The carpet was still dirty and had spots on it. I requested another cleaning or at least some new carpet because there was visible dirt on the floor. Never happened. My blinds are too large for my window and it takes up wall space, they told me to deal with it. The maintenance guy that is assigned to my building always makes up a reason not to fix things and blames me for anything that is broken(like a broken shelf that is sooo old that it was cracking when I moved in). I get tired of putting in request because they will either get ignored or come fix it but it doesn't get fixed. My dishwasher has never worked and the idiot who keeps coming to fix it doesn't know what he is doing.
Its noisy here and there are always domestic problems with the nieghbors. Keep looking for an apartment, you might as well move into subsidized housing because at least you will be paying less
