Overpriced, small apartment

I lived there when it was called International Place for 3 years, which was longer than many others I knew. The buildings in the front are all nicely landscaped with security doors and a nice paint job. Then there were the apartments in the back, where I lived. No security doors (salespeople walked right up to your door), no lock on the laundry room. There was a pool and exercise center which was a nice incentive.
The apartment itself was tiny and not worth the rent I paid. Maintenance was slow in coming. I had a leak above the bathtub which turned into a small hole in the ceiling. I informed the office and no one came out to fix it for weeks. Then a squirrel got into the apartment through the hole and they finally got an outside contractor to fix the hole. However, the leak was never fixed. Suffice to say, that was my last year with them.

Really? 2002-2005? You think things might have changed since then?

I sure there are some improvements since McKinley has taken over. However, a friend of mine lives there now and is planning on leaving. He says that he couldn't get maintenance to properly seal his windows which cost him a lot in heating expenses during the winter. I would ask to see the apartment they plan on renting you not just a model.
