If you are looking for a company that puts on a shiny smile and goes the extra mile for their clients who pay an arm and a leg for rent, then you have the wrong company. They will lure you in with their street saavy apartments, but once inside the craftmanship looks like it was done by third graders during an art project. Some people will say that this is the nicest rental company in Ypsilanti, but be aware this is probably the secretary or someone else inside the Barnes company that is writing positive things about the company to cover their own asses because of the sub-par rental schemes they put forth. Look for independant rental companies that only have a few houses around the area. These owners will actually take the time to listen to you and give the apartment the attention it needs. I had lived in one of these terrible Barnes garbage houses and experienced extensive water damage to a lot of property stored within. When I asked them to come and fix it they did repond, but fixed the hole with "tape", while it was raining outside. This is not an exageration. The dipshit repairman had absolutely no idea what he was doing, and the repair job lasted for about 5 hours before the tape failed and more damage was incurred- Thanks Barnes! They showed absolutely no remorse and just let the hole remain unfixed, not very ethical. The owners dumbass annd dumbass junior should look into owning a chain of bars not a chain of houses. They are making the city if Ypsi even worse then it already does. Do not let them fool you into thinking that the area is getting cleaned up for the better. Safety reports are public domain and free to acquire-let that speak for your uncertainties, not the Barnes company. Overall, living in a trash can without a top would be a better choice than a Barne property. Again, don't let the one or two positive comments influence your decision because it almost certainly someone within the Barnes company that is writing them. Just listen to the negative ones that ring true.
