The first thing that you'll see how horrible the pavement on the drive into the complex are. Many people have broken axles and other parts of their cars because they will not spend the money for a permanent fix. The buildings are massively old. The heating system is a steam register, many of the electrical outlets and the air conditioning units don't work, and the floors are so creaky that you can hardly walk, let alone do anything else, without disturbing the tenants below you. Many of the fixtures (splash guards, closet doors, plumbing, etc) is falling or has fallen apart. The only laundry room is in the back of the rental office, has been closed early on weekends, is not open on Sundays, and is more expensive than just going to a 24 hour laundromat. In fact, for a long while the office staff weren't there during business hours either. As for safety, there is very little. The drive into the apartments is almost totally dark at night, trying to find any restaurant to deliver out there can be nearly impossible, and there even random flurries of gunshots to keep you awake at night. To top things off the staff is two faced and non- responsive but they will hound you for rent. The last time that I placed a service call the office assistant wasn't able to get the problem right (which was needing splash guards on the shower reinstalled and the A.C. unit blowing hot air in the summer) so I asked for a time when I could be there with the maintenance guy and did not give permission to enter while I was gone. I came back a day later to see a completed order stuck in my door, the A.C. unit left on (running up my electric bill) still blowing warm air, and the splash guard glued onto the old rotting caulk which fell off in a week. Find somewhere else for a comparable price. The stress of staying here will cost you more than their teaser rates.
