One of the better landlords in Ypsi

Years at this apartment: 1998 - 2001
I lived in a four bedroom house from 1998 to 1999 and a one bedroom apartment from 2000 to 2001 and had no problems with Flo-Mar. The house was very large with ample parking and recently remodeled interior. Since we had a house to ourselves, noise and parking was never an issue.
The one bedroom apt was in a house converted into four apts and was very close to campus and came with its noisy components-rich, drunk college students (that you got to live in the same dwelling with) had no regard for anyone else. I paid for a parking spot at the house (there were only two parking spots available to rent, everyone else had to park in the street)and the others tenants in the house parked in most of the time. I also had to deal with thier very loud noise levels. They (the other tenants in the house)were actually the worst experience I have had throughout my years as an apt dweller, nothing to do with my apt as a whole or the staff. The staff was always quick to respond to problems and made attempts to make everyone happy.
If you clean your apt according to the paper they provide at move in, you will get your deposit plus 10% back, I have. Flo-Mar trys very hard to keep thier properties up, in good condition and neat and clean. From my observation of the years I lived in a Flo-Mar rental, it is usually the tenants that make it a bad place to live, not the staff or the dwelling. I have lived in a lot worse apts (in Ypsi) for the same price and have had to put up with apt not up to code, bad repairs and rude staffs; Flo-Mar is always up to code and works with the city to buy dwellings that are not and fix them up. They may not be fancy, but they will always be safe and clean.
Because Flo-Mar charges a bit more for thier apts than the competitors, they tend to attract two types of people, those whom work very hard to pay the bills and the ones whom have the parents pay the bills. So it will be a toss up to what your neighbor will be like (if you live in a house converted to apts). Your best bet is to rent in a house that has the fewest units in it (own entrances or the building on Perrin), or a house itself to avoid any problems. You will have more parking, won't have to deal with as many drunks and it will be much more quiet.
