I lived with Flo-Mar for a full year (2003) and it was the best rental experience I have ever had (there have been many). First, to agree with the other reviewer, they are the best landlords in Ypsi. They are not "shady", are very considerate, and keep their places well maintained. For example, our dishwasher was making a funny little noise (nothing big) and they came in a few days later and completely replaced it with a brand new one. This was my experience with everything they did -- they fixed it quickly and beyond my expectations. We had a brand new A/C too. The office staff and the maintence staff were great -- we'd invite them in for coffee and also go up to the main office to chat because they were so kind. The apartments are a great value -- especially if you like the charm of recently renovated historical homes. They are priced better than anyhting else we found in Ypsi, especially near EMU. And they were very forgiving when my rent check bounced 3 different times (embarassing!) . . . no hard feelings or problems. They also let you earn a significant amont of $ back at the end of your lease if you clean the place really well. It was nice to have that plus my security deposit in my pocket at the end of the lease. One of my favorite things about living at Flo-Mar was the fact that they have a website www.flo-mar.com (I think) from which I could tour all of their apartments, see rates, and place maintenence requests. It was just so much better than having to bundle up and go into the office. Also, they invite all of the tennants to special events and parades and service projects in the community too. Overall, they were a great place to live and I highly recommend them. We would still be with Flo-Mar if we hadn't moved to Florida.
