There is never any parking, there is gang fights on the streets. there are literally crazy people walking around all times of the day and night. which they didnt tell us about until the day we MOVED IN. THe crazy people are scary and i see them on my way to class almost every day. People are always getting mugged around here. bums will come up to your car in the dim parking lot and ask you for money and thats also scary. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything in the apartments next to you. Trust me you dont want to live here. These apartments are a pathetic attempt to be descent.

I suspect that the couple that wrote this review are the same people that wrote the review dated 3/24/05. These people received at least five parking tickets from the City for parking improperly on the street and were upset with Flo-Mar for not paying the tickets for them. There are 27 spots available at their building and 30 cars with authorization to park in them, so people may occasionally need to park on the street. However, we have a strict "no-guest" parking policy that is patrolled regularly so that spots will be left available for tenants at all times. The "gang fights" that they refer to was one fight that took place in August of 2004 when a group of intoxicated students at a local party down the street began fighting. The fight moved into the street and the police broke it up without incident. According to Sgt. Dorsey of the Ypsilanti Police Department, no other such fights occurred in the area before or after this incident but this fact and all other crime questions should be directed to the YPD at 483-9510. I am not sure what crazy people they are referring to so I cannot comment on them. But, I can say that the lighting around the building in question is VERY good at night, and this fact can be confirmed by the YPD because we asked them to do a safety assessment of the building. If you have questions, just drive by at night. You'll notice that all Flo-Mar properties are well lit. Flo-Mar houses have some of the best lighting of all because our properties have "photocell" activated flood-lights, meaning that they automatically go on when it's dark outside. In fact, I more often receive complaints that the lights are too bright and shining into neighboring houses than that there isn't enough light.
