I was hamstrung into finding an apartment on my own at the last minute due to a roommate backing out. I looked at Flo-Mar first and I'm glad I did. These guys are a class act. I was a little put off by the price at first but the amenities included are great: free heat, free internet, beautiful apartment. The office staff was always helpful and friendly (even when I was a little late on the rent once or twice ;). When I say you get what you pay for, it really holds true here. The maintenance crew is top-notch. Oftentimes repairs were done within hours of requesting them. My dishwasher failed a few months into my lease and the next day I had a brand new one... can't beat that. I got the last apartment available in the building (119 Perrin) and it was fantastic when I moved in. A few days later they asked me if I'd like some ceiling fans and that evening I was enjoying my newly found airflow. Contrary to what some have said, the neighborhood is fine, the halfway house down the street is not an annoyance at all, in fact I have said hi to the residents quite a few times while out walking around and they're good people. The building itself deserves a mention here -- it's a mid-70s (I think) brick building and the walls are plenty thick. I never had any problem with noise from my neighbors and they never reported a problem with me despite having a pretty beefy sound system I like to crank occasionally. The one downside is the parking situation (which I will add is made crystal clear before you ever get close to signing a lease), you get one spot and one spot only, although in my experience the office was very accomodating in making exceptions if "situations" arose. All in all, great people to work with and very nice units. I'm glad I lived there.
