I only lived at Flo-mar for a year, but the only reason I moved was because we bought a house. My apartment was spacious and all utilities were included in my rent except for electricity, which saved me a lot of hassle and worrying about heat in the winter. My apartment was a really easy walk to class, the appliances were in great condition, and a had a lot of closet space. I almost never heard my neighbors. Any noise usually came from outside, and closing the windows almost always solved that issue.

Parking isn't great. There is always enough room for tenants, but if you want people to visit, you have to buy a parking pass from the city so they can park in the street. Marvin, the owner, is a big stickler about the parking lot, and was sort of rude to one of my guests about it when he came down to move his car.

But don't let that scare you away. The owner is a bit crabby, but you almost never see him, and the office staff is really great. Stacey is always friendly and has her act together. The maintenance staff is awesome. They even helped me move some of my furniture upstairs when they saw me struggling with it! Any maintenance requests were addressed promptly and were always done well.

One of the best things about Flo-mar is that they're one of the few companies I've rented from that doesn't try to screw you with the security or cleaning deposits. I received the entirety of my security and cleaning deposits back, plus an extra 10% bonus on the cleaning deposit for cleaning it well enough that the staff didn't have to go over it again before someone else came in.

Overall, I was impressed with Flo-mar. The fact that they weren't trying to screw me out of my deposit is reason enough for me to recommend, but the staff really put this place over the top. I can honestly say I'll miss living there.
