I have been a resident at Golfside for a year and am literally jumping with joy that my lease is up and I can get out of this ghetto pit! Office personnel are clueless, the washer/dryers never work; my bathroom also is disgusting. My tub has peeled from the time I moved in. Every time I have made a request for maintenance, it has taken weeks and at times months to get a response. The place is infested with red ants and has been since I moved in. Although two of the maint. crew are the best I have ever seen. Another just walked right into my apt the other day, as I sat here ready to get into the bathtub, barely dressed. I have requested to ALWAYS be called prior to ANYONE entering my apt. He was dropping off my "renewal for my lease" which, by the way was in a wrapper that you hang on the outside of the door. He knocked, I didn't answer, he just freely let himself in!
I live on the third floor and there are dangerous rips in the carpet going down the stairs, the hallways are FILTHY. I actually cleaned the railings the first week I lived here because I was afraid to touch them! I asked to have my a/c replaced this past summer because it is at least 15 years old and in late September rec'd a call from the office regarding my request (which was made in June). Turns out they installed it in September but to the apt right below mine by mistake. The heating is terrible! Free gas, Right...we had to call the office when we tried to turn ours on when it first got cold this year and we froze the first couple of weeks of cold weather.

I also had to clean my the oven when I moved in and after several requests finally was given a new overhead fan unit which fell right in the middle of my cooking dinner one evening. (the new one) They also had to install a new kitchen floor after I moved in and the installation is a total joke! Closet doors fall off..have never stayed on!
I have to say this is the very worse place I have ever lived and if you are considering living here, please reconsider.
