the apartment is pretty good

I've been here about three months and am renting a 1BR. So far, my only complaints are with maintenance. A common problem at apartment complexes, seeimingly. I just don't think they have enough maintenance staff to go around. When I finally did get a maintenace guy to fix my toilet, the dude was very friendly. He further told me he is the only one who knows what he is doing, haha. You must be persistent here to get something fixed. Don't just call once!
I mainly chose this site for its safety and price. For Ypsilanti, the complex seems pretty safe. There is a guard-booth at the entrance during the evening hours, and I haven't seen anyone murdered or mugged, yet. It appears that the shady characters come from the other side of Golfside. Let's keep them there ;)
I pay $645/month (Regular is $660). It's actually more than I would like to be paying, but I don't think it's unreasonable in comparison to local apartments.
The kitchen is small, but I'm a guy and could care less.
Golfside pays absolutely none of your utilities, not even water/trash. Come on, guys!
Laudry machines are public and operated by use of a card.
There is free wi-fi at the lobby.
There is a 24-hour fitness room. It's okay, it's got the basics.
There is mucho closet-space in the bedroom.
