We moved here needing an apartment ASAP, and had to make a decision in one day. We quickly decided based on the slightly lower price and the full size washer/dryer. Bad move!

Everything is 20 years old in this place. It all breaks, and we have to call maintanence frequently. The place was dirty when we moved in, the "accent wall" was not painted, and we've asked to have pest control look at a bee hive near the apartment several times with no response.

I don't feel 100 percent safe here. I've always been a gun owner, but I never kept it loaded and in the nightstand before, if that tells you anything. They'll rent to anyone and there are some thug-type people around. A lot of noise, some late night parties, and paper thin walls.

This area is lower class and getting worse. I had no idea, moving from another state! There's frequently a bum who holds a sign begging for money nearby on the I-94 off-ramp. The nearby Wall-Mart shopping center has people begging for money frequently in front of the stores and restaurants. I drive further into Ann Arbor for most of my shopping needs now... Its just not safe here.

I'm leaving SE Michigan now before I get too entrenched here. I came for a job, but the area... heck the whole state is so depressed economically! If you must live in this area, go to Ann Arbor and spend a few extra dollars for a nicer place with higher class neighbors. I wish I did!

A little harsh but I agree with your general comments. Oh and that "Bum" near the 94 exit? Well he's been doing that pretty consistently for about a year. He stashes his bike in the weeds and I'm fairly sure he rides off to his home, most likely in Hunt Club!
