I have lived at Huron View Six years and may be moving due to a change in employment. I have lived in Sydney, Australia, New Orleans (in the Quarter), Aspen, Colorado, Vienna, Austria and Paris and Lyon France. I have been very happy with the staff. I have been just as happy with the other residents, but then I like people and understand what real life is like almost anywhere. There is a wide variety of people here, much the same as you will find anywhere on earth. There are a lot of athletes from the local college, there are workers and families. I find that people who have had problems here would have had problems living anywhere. I have never had any fear at al walking about no matter what time of the day or night. I enjoy the company of people who are alive and that means they may be loud at times when I would rather them be less so. That is reality. I enjoy signs of life. If any of these hotheaded, whingeing and barely literate complainers lived in heaven itself they would keep on whining and be unhappy. People make themselves unhappy for the most part. I am amused to find that the apartments that were burned were declared "a disaster area" that's a function of the federal government and never involves such a small scale event. I was living in that group of apartments. I did not have insurance, but I didn't lose much or care. I think everyone who became displaced by the fire was taken care of rather well. My work put me up at Weber's Inn in Ann Arbor.

I personally love the place. I can take my fishing rod to the creek-I think it's supposed to be a river of sorts, in about a three-minute walk, I never meet anyone who is not friendly and in general love life-thanks, in no small part to the lovely people at huron View.
