I have lived here for about 4 years. I am going to list the good and the bad and you can make your own decision.
There are a lot of kids here. That is a positive and a negative for me. It shows that people feel safe and comfortable enough to have a family here however being a single male I don't like kids playing basketball near my car or hanging out in the road when I need to get by.
ALL of my neighbors whom I've personally met have seemed like wonderful people. I talk with them and get to know them as good as I can with my current work schedule. It has gotten a bit more riff raff in the past year or so but I think for the most part this place is safe. The problem you have, as is with any apartment complex in ypsilanti is the thugs wandering in from outside.
The walls seem to be thin around the bathroom, why I'm not sure but I can often hear my neighbors. As is the walls near the stairs, You really can hear people walking up and down them.
The rent is a higher than normal places as is the security deposit. You get a washer and dryer in your unit but nothing else. Personally, I would like to see them build a playground somewhere for the kids to play so they can get out of the street. Maintenance is pretty quick about most tasks but very slow about big projects. I am still waiting for some things to be taken care of and it's been a few months now.
The only reason I am leaving is because for the amount I pay per month for rent I can now afford to buy a house instead. Something some of you may want to consider if you're moving into a two bedroom.
