It is really not completely aweful, but like all places, there are some downsides

Pros:

-Location is great, hard to beat. Seems odd since its next to train tracks, but after a week you won't even notice it.

-Comes furnished, with washer and dryer. The furniture is pretty new, and the washer and dryer work really well.

-They aren't run down. My boyfriend lives at Riverrain and they have stains on their carpet, its old and smells bad all the time. None of that at PP. These places are still in good condition. Of course, I have lived here for 2 years now, with a bunch of girls so we've taken care of our place, I can't speak for every single unit.

Maintenance staff- these guys are great. Really nice, and they take care of everything quickly.

Cons:

Parking- If you get back late at night, you may have to walk a ways. This was only a problem for me in the winter however. The parking lot is well lit. I never had to park in off-site parking however, I think if I did then I would probably call someone to come pick me up.

Staff- they seem to not really know whats going on sometimes, and generally you can only get a 100% positive answer from one of the managers. They are nice enough, but sometimes you get wishy washy answers

They are put together cheaply- a pipe burst in our wall and leaked water all over the laundry room and kitchen. They had to hack a big hole in the drywall to fix it. They took care of it really fast, but I wouldn't expect that to happen to an apartment thats not quite two years old. The dishwasher also isn't the best, you can't really put anything in there with food particles still on it if you want it to come out clean.

Noise-It gets pretty noisy, especially on the weekends with parties and stuff. This year hasn't been as bad as it was last year though. My bedroom window faces the courtyard, and when its nice out people tend to gather there. I can also hear when people go up and down the stairs, which can be pretty obnoxious because the banister rattles along with the pounding.

Overall, the people complaining about this place are being ridiculous. It is really not that bad. It's student housing for christ's sake! In Ypsilanti no less. You couldn't find a place this nice at UofM if you tried. The people complaining on here obviously don't have anything else better to do with their time.
